It guides us through our existence, it revives buried memories, and it is an art form that can transport you to another world. Inspired by the mysteries of mythology, occultism, and ethereal legend combined with gothic aesthetics and the beauty of classical fine art, Water & Wick’s hand made products create an immersive experience that evoke a sense of opulence and indulgence.

We prioritize using ingredients that are always cruelty-free, vegan, and void of phthalates, parabens, and sulfates. Transparency, honesty, and integrity are words we do our very best to uphold. As a bath and candle co., it is our responsibility to minimize Water & Wick’s environmental footprint and to treat others with care, thus nearly all aspects of packaging are biodegradable, re- or up-cycleable.

With your support, you also support the small businesses that supply Water & Wick and local philanthropic institutions. Each quarter, we will donate a portion of every sale to a specific cause; local animal rescues and wildlife rehabilitation facilities, domestic abuse and homeless shelters, LGBTQ+ support groups and programs, area food banks, and more.

MEET YOUR MAKER.

Ever since I was a kid, I always knew I was a bit of a black sheep. I stood apart from my classmates, with my long, frizzy brown hair- much like Hermione Granger’s- and my atypical interests and quirky ways. I was ferociously enamored with unicorns, dragons, wizards, and other mythical beasts and beings. I often got in trouble for drawing them instead of completing my schoolwork or paying attention to a math lecture.

Enter my time at college (exhibit A: me modeling a blue fuzzy monster hat a friend made), where I, unsurprisingly, majored in fine art. During those years, I also discovered the charm of apothecary. I tried my hand at making my own soaps, candles, and sugar scrubs as Christmas gifts for my family. I loved blending my own scents and creating something to be used for a person's moment of relaxation and care.

The yearn to return to candles and soaps never fully left. I still had remnants of my supplies tucked away for a rainy day, even after I graduated and moved. In November 2022, I pulled the trigger to create something new and not found in the aisles of Walmart or Bath & Body Works. Refined and unique fragrances woven with the grace and beauty of old master artworks evoke a sense of regal dark academia and gothic affluence. Water & Wick was born.

Once I received my first set of fragrance oils, I was drawn to combine delicate rose petals, oak moss, amber, and the rain-soaked, earthy scent of petrichor. Mixed with the intentions and emotions of melancholy, cessation, longing, and solitude, “Mourning Rose” became the first scent I created.

The wick was lit.
